Inspired by the urban and natural landscapes of Italy, New Ravenna's Dimensioni Collection brings together hand crafted stone, metallic glass, and geometric patterns in a series of ultra modern mosaics with a distinct nod to Italy's storied heritage.  In Calacatta marble, Città's creates volume through it's faceted facade while Coliseum's classic hex pattern is finished with Venetian honing.  In contrast, New Leaf uses a stylized pattern in four colorways of metallic glass to hint at historic practices - in this case the Byzantines' practice of placing gold pieces at angles to reflect light.  All three is suitable for interior and exterior vertical surfaces.

What makes Italian designers and the products they develop so wonderfully unique is their inherent ability to blend facets from Italian heritage, tradition, and culture into designs with a remarkable look to the future.  New lighting introductions by Global Lighting follow this same tradition. For Luca De Bona and Dario De Meo, designers behind the steampunk-esque Domenica pendant, bucolic Sunday afternoons and the motor scooter found themselves as inspiration.  In similar style, the Mono pendant, by the student Giovanna Colapristi and professor Sotirios Papadopoulos, makes reference to the words of Emily Dickinson.  Fabricated in Fossombrone, Italy, both fixtures are part of the Stratos Collection.

Mother Nature can easily be considered the world's very first artist.  And it is from some of her finest works that Robert Allen finds the inspiration for the Fall 2015 Color Library. Raw wood and rocky crags find themselves reflected in the four new textiles, each blending complex tone-on-tone textures with chic patterns. The organic neutrals - Mica, Sandstone, Glacier, and Driftwood - are both modern and fashion-forward as well as traditional with the ability to blend well with a wide variety of textiles and aesthetics..

Technological innovation and advances in man-made materials play a significant part in the bench and stool set created by Dutch studio OS Δ OOS .  Launched during the recent Design Week in Milan, Arc is fabricated from HI-MACS, an acrylic stone that, when heated to certain temperatures, can be curved and bent.  The inherent thermoformable properties allowed the designers to form the stone-look material, developing interchangeable pieces founded on two common radii. The result? A modern balance between shape and material.

Inherently modern, a grey color spectrum has become the design community's favorite neutral.  Expanding on their existing Chatham Shaker and Astoria Modern Vanity Collections, designed by Jeffrey Alexander, Hardware Resources has added a modern grey to the available finish options.  The expanded vanity lines are available with coordinating satin nickel hardware and with an optional 2cm White Carrera Marble top pre-installed.  A variety of storage options and widths (Chatham up to 36", Astoria up to 48") and two coordinating mirrors with beveled glass round out the collection.
