It was at the height of an American depression that a therapist posed the question to Brandon Smith, an expert in the design and development of tech-centric, specialized interior environments: "Could you imagine yourself being something else?"

Recognizing a disjoint between the consumer’s perception of luxury and the methods in which it was being sold to them, it was from this question that DCoopMedia was born.

Could luxury be something else? Just what is luxury?

Luxury is what luxury isn’t.

DCoopMedia is a boutique publisher of media outlets, syndicated content, and private label publications, that inspire heightened connections between designers of the luxury lifestyle and the consumers for whom they ultimately serve. We blend the act of discovery, the art of romance, the celebration of heritage, the power of design, and the importance of the basics, to encourage readers to find added value and elevated comfort beyond necessity, price-tag, and namesake.

DCoopMedia is founded on the premise that Luxury is subjective, that it means something different to everyone. We understand that there exists a commonality among the unique perspectives of every consumer of Luxury. Luxury is not a product.
