A ONCE FORGOTTEN, CIRCA 1923 BANK BUILDING FINDS NEW PURPOSE AS A NEIGHBORHOOD HERITAGE AND ART CENTER.

With every waking moment, the future of significant architecture continues to find itself hanging in perilous balance.  Rising land values and decaying cultural sensitivities tend to find themselves at odds with abandoned structures devoid of a modern-day purpose. Sadly, these important vestiges of times past usually lose, meeting a destructive fate.  There are times, however, that historic relics find a supportive voice, becoming a cornerstone within the neighborhoods that once forgot about them.  In this case, that the belongs to Chicago's voice belongs to Chicago's Rebuild Foundation and their cornerstone a stunning center for the preservation of heritage and culture.
