Los Angeles Modernism Show Benefiting P.S. Arts Returns to 3Labs, April 24-26
For 28 years, one showcase continues to infuse Los Angeles' design scene with a jolt of star-studded Modernism. Dedicated to showcasing an exceptional arsenal of furniture, decorative, and fine arts representing the best of modern 20th Century design movements, the Los Angeles Modernism Show once again returns April 24 - 26th to Culver City's 3LABS Studio, bringing with it the wares of over forty national and international exhibitors.
With the continued support of its premier sponsor, 1stdibs, and the consideration of notable brands Boxed Water, Delta Air Lines, the Resnick Family Foundation, and Marc Phillips Decorative Rugs along with numerous media sponsors, the Los Angeles Modernism Show & Sale offers a broad range of products to collectors, interior designers, and aficionados of Modernism alike. Furniture, lighting, jewelry, and decorative arts are on display and for purchase from around the world, representing such galleries as Los Angeles' Reform Gallery and Off the Wall, a La MOD and Porter & Plunk of Palm Springs, San Diego's own The Atomic Bazaar, Didier Ltd of London, and one of our personal favorites, Vintage European Posters from Berkeley. Debuting for the first time this year, Pierre Anthony Galleries (New York), Aaron Mapp (Miami), Antiques & Modern Design (Miami), Ursus Books (New York) will be appearing among the distinguished exhibitors.
Also part of this year's Los Angeles Modernism Show programming, editor Daniel Ostroff will be on hand to celebrate the upcoming release of Yale University's An Eames Anthology: Articles, Film Scripts, Interviews, Letters, Notes, and Speeches, a newly released collection of the writings of esteemed couple Charles & Ray Eames. Ostroff, as part of a lecture and Q&A on Saturday, April 25th, will provide insight into the couple's marriage and fifty year professional partnership.
As in years past, the Los Angeles Modernism Show continues its generous support of P.S. Arts, a local non profit dedicated to the betterment of the lives of children through arts education. Proceeds generated from Los Angeles Modernism Show's opening night party - attended by a celebrated list of personalities such as Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham, Minnie Driver, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and designer Oliver Firth - go to helping P.S. Arts serve over 20,000 Southern and Central California students, providing yearlong dance, visual arts, music, and theater arts education to under-served public schools and communities. the Los Angeles Modernism Show is truly great design with an even greater cause.
The Los Angeles Modernism Show continues through Sunday, April 26th.
