Lights! Camera! Action! #DesignLUX Reviews the Home Theater
It's officially football season here in the Smith-Stephens household. With that every television in our humble bungalow is tuned to a station airing professional football, college football, replays from earlier in the week, and football analysis.
Until February I'm a football widow (at least, that is until basketball season kicks in). I'm sure I'm not alone in this predicament.
The perfect solution, of course, would be to dedicate a room in our home to becoming a football mancave. However, if you paid attention to a post I wrote back in 2012 (To Mancave or Not to Mancave) you'll know I have a general disdane for the term "mancave". However, every designer knows that the television set and it's myriad of equipment, wires, and remotes do not for a beautiful design aesthetic make. Dilemma!
That's why #DesignLUX will be taking an all access pass into the world of the TV Rooms and Home Theaters. From the simple family room with a widescreen mounted above a mid-century console to the over-the-top professional style screening rooms, we're pulling inspiration as well as answering the age old question: Where the heck do I put the TV?
