For When Lincoln Logs Won't Do: Six Luxury Log Homes

Once upon a time the traditional log structure consisted of one, maybe two rooms, more than enough to serve the needs of the colonial family.  Imagination, innovation, and unimaginable sums of money have changed that.  Inspired by the upcoming #DesignLUX focused on the New American Log Home, we let our mouse do the walking, gathering six of the most over the top, most luxurious, and most unique log homes on the market today.

Forget roughing it.  At least not as long as these jaw-dropping homes are around.

Actor Tom Cruise has never been known for taking a small role in his blockbuster hits.  Remember his Oprah moment? Completed in 1994, his 298-acre estate in Telluride follows a similar thread.  Spread out over 10,000 square feet, stone and cedar wrap four bedroom main house which also boasts a gym, recreation room, and library. If that isn't enough of a reason to want to live here, Oprah slept here. Need we say more?
