Spring 2015 Color Library: Botanical Color, Textiles from Robert Allen Design
So we'll admit, we at D'Scoop might just have a bit of a crush on Robert Allen or, really, on Robert Allen's collections. Sure, we have already made mention that eponymous textile designer Robert Allen Group would be showcasing their Spring 2015 Color Library: Botanical Color at this year's Maison et Objet back in January but that doesn't mean we can't showcase the collection again now that it has officially launched. Featuring botanically inspired elements depicted in a fresh palette of five distinctive shades including Robert Allen Interior Design Color of the Year Calypso Blue, the newest Color Library is a playful mix of florals, block prints, damasks and solids designed to encourage a playful mixing of patters giving designers a spectrum of options - from over the top exuberance to calm and sprightly. Of course, not to eschew the classics, Robert Allen has also mixed in a few top-selling patterns from prior years, refreshed by the punchy new shades. Available to the Trade.
Louis 15 Chandelier from Beau & Bien
We've not yet featured Beau et Bien on D'Scoop yet our addiction to those objects which enlighten our interiors meant that we couldn't exclude the newest of their chandeliers in our weekly round-up. Influenced by the grandeur and splendor that was 18th century France, the Louis 15 re imagines the overwrought crystal chandeliers of yore with a suspension of formed crystals. By removing the heavy structure and replacing it with, quite simply, nothing at all, Louis 15 reflects a delicate and fantasy like display, both classic and contemporary.
AIO Series Cabinets by Robern
The new luxury consumer has come to expect quite a great deal from their bathrooms no matter how small they might be. With the Millennial buyer expecting the same luxury features within smaller footprints, multifunctional storage like the AiO Cabinet Series from Robern has never been more important. Blending Robern's most popular mirrored cabinet with their own blend of unique features into an easy to install wall hung cabinet design, AiO is versatile yet aesthetically pleasing all at once. Integrated task lighting with an easy to access dimming switch, integrated internal electrical outlets with USB ports, magnifying mirrors, adjustable shelves, internal illumination and even an optional three mirror design, ensures that morning (and evening) tasks are made that much easier. Available in both single and double door configurations.
BeveLED 2.0 FLA, Recessed LED Fixture from USAI Lighting
Integrated lighting is the bain of nearly every interior designer and architect in existence, especially in spaces where clearances are tight or nearly non-existent. Oftentimes, low ceilings, ductwork, electrical, and building infrastructure get in the way of what could be the nearly perfect lighting plan. The implementation of LED lighting with their bulky heat dispersion systems can make the situation even worse. USAI Lighting, to meet the growing requirement of LEDs as a primary lighting source, has designed BeveLED 2.0 Flat, dubbed the world's thinnest LED housing, to answer this growing problem. With an overall height of 2-3/4" (or 3-3/8" with trim) BeveLED 2.0 Flat fits an LED light source available in four color temperatures and using from 12 to 33 watts delivering up to 2,350 lumens into a housing suitable for nearly any construction requirement, even shallow ceiling soffits and existing wood frame construction. Square and Round trims are available in sizes ranging from 3-1/2" to 5-1/2" (square or diameter).
Sakura Handpainted Tile Collection from Fireclay Tile
Though there may still be snow on the ground in some parts of the country, Fireclay Tile is already thinking about Spring. A 3-dimensional collection of hand-painted tiles featuring 12 distinct organic patterns, the Sakura Collection references iconic Japanese landscapes with hints of mountains, tortise shells, river rocks, and stylized floral. Designed for both the needs of home and commercial environments, the large format tiles, made of 70% recycled clay, is available in both 8"x8" and 6"x12" sizes (depending on pattern) and in three soft, neutral color palettes: white, neutral, and green.
