Weekly my inbox fills with notice of great new products being introduced to the market. And as much as I'd like to devote space in our quarterly magazine theTwentySIX, there just isn't enough space. The result? Every week check this spot for the newest product introductions. And if you'd like to see your product here... make sure to email me the press release and necessary photos.
SONKA, Heat Retaining Fireplace from Tulikivi
It's not normally customary to discuss fireplaces even during the winter season here in Southern California. However, D'Scoop being a fan of a beautiful fire (no, we're not arsonists....), we couldn't resist sharing the newest design from Finnish based Tulikivi. While the SONKA's soapstone cladding and sleek, modern design story ensure that Tulikivi's largest model is pleasing to the eye, it is also a workhorse, using combustion technology to heat even the largest of rooms while passing the toughest emission standards (87% heating efficiency). We like that it can be further combined with a hot water heater for maximum impact.
Wall*nut Vanity from Think Fabricate
To further expand on the success of Think Fabricate's award-winning Wall*nut Medicine Cabinet, the Brooklyn based design studio has introduced a series of wall mounted vanities with a decidedly utilitarian slant. The Wall*nut Vanity, available in four sizes - S, M, L and XL - complement the sleek forms of their medicine cabinet while providing users additional storage and organization and the detail oriented finish and construction that we've come to expect from Think Fabricate. The various available sizes further allows users to continue a design standard through a multitude of spaces - from powder room to master bath. Though the vanities are simple in form and feature a standard of organic and metallic finishes, the customer's choice of counter surfaces, basins and faucetry (not provided by Think Fabricate) making the vanities perfect for almost any design standard.
Topanga Series Sconce in Walnut & Maple by Jamie Drake for Boyd Lighting
The King of Glamour, interior designer Jamie Drake, is adding an element of warmth to his Topanga Collection. Originally only available with a Shagreen inset in a choice of five colors, the Topanga Sconce produced by Boyd Lighting, can now be customized with a choice of either a walnut or maple veneer inset for a decidedly warmer aesthetic. One thing to note about Sausalito based Boyd Lighting's products is that many are available outfitted with LED based light sources making them ideal for designs with eco sensibilities.
