New #Luxury Design Product Spotlight: Week of Dec. 22nd

Weekly my inbox fills with notice of great new products being introduced to the market.  And as much as I'd like to devote space in our quarterly magazine theTwentySIX, there just isn't enough space.  The result?  Every week check this spot for the newest product introductions.  And if you'd like to see your product here... make sure to email me the press release and necessary photos.

ColorInspire by Wellborn Cabinet

Once upon a time, being able to select truly custom colors for one's kitchen cabinetry meant shelling out for custom millwork or extensive lead times.  With ColorInspire, Wellborn brings to semi-custom cabinetry the same freedom of color once reserved for big budget kitchen designs.  Whether inspired by the colors of nature, a sentimental object, or even a special lipstick, consumers can choose from the extensive paint decks of Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, and Valspar in finishing their Estate Collection or Elegant Bath Inset Door cabinetry.

You may be beginning to think that D'Scoop has an ongoing love affair with the designs of Sara Baldwin for New Ravenna.  You may be right.  Then again, with her brilliantly classic mosaic collections, how can we not?  This time, Sara and collaborator Paul Schatz have combined natural stone, jewel glass, and shell into the Illusions Collection of seven mosaic designs interpreting traditional & historical textures in a way that is not only contemporary and fresh but also graphic and illuminating. In keeping with tradition, the Illusions Collection is entirely hand cut and assembled by artisans on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

D'Scoop isn't always about residential luxury but, instead, we like to throw a little commercial your way as well.  Designer Philippe Starck has always been synonymous with simple, modern design embodying elements of luxury and technology.  For German fixtures company Duravit, he continues along the same path, bringing together a simple, minimal design with eco-sensibility (the Starck 3 uses only 1.28 gallons per flush) and accessibility in his Starck 3 Flushometer Toilet Collection. Available in floor-standing, wall-mounted, and wall-mounted with concealed inlet models for the commercial and hospitality markets.

For this year's Winter Market in Las Vegas, Abbyson Living and Monica Pedersen are bringing to consumers a line of softgoods which, at once, embrace traditional elements and casual living while avoiding the staunch formality that often comes from English styling.  Encompassing a Rolled Arm Sectional, several Lounge Chairs, round & square ottomans, and a winged bar-stool, among others, Abbyson's collection is a great add to the family living space desiring a bit of casual elegance.

Classic Woodgrain Decorative Millwork by Fypon Design

Beautifully stained and finished millwork often brings an element of formality and grandeur to a design that can't be replicated any other way.  But environment, budget, and location can preclude the use of real wood elements.  Weather resistant and impenetrable by moisture and insects, Fypon Design's new line of Classic Woodgrain Decorative Millwork and Molding, formed of durable polyurethane, brings to market a full collection of crown, casing, baseboard, and other decorative moldings for use in more adverse conditions such as the outdoors or spaces prone to moisture build up, ensuring that a homeowner's design aesthetic continues through all areas of their home.
