New #Luxury Product Spotlight - Week of Sept. 15th
Weekly my inbox fills with notice of great new products being introduced to the market. And as much as I'd like to devote space in our quarterly magazine theTwentySIX, there just isn't enough space. The result? Every week check this spot for the newest product introductions. And if you'd like to see your product here... make sure to email me the press release and necessary photos.
Drawer Accessory System by Henrybuilt
The key to a functional kitchen, aside from workflow, is organization, the ability to find everything one needs quickly and efficiently while preparing even the simplest of dishes. Having a kitchen full of "junk drawers" (like my own kitchen... don't judge!) is not the way to do that. Henrybuilt, a Seattle based craftsman of high-performance and sophisticated cabinetry, has launched its newly designed line of hand crafted drawer accessories. A statement in warmly finished eco-conscious woods, Paperstone, and solid surface acrylic, each component of the Drawer Accessory System is designed to bring optimum functionality and efficient spaceplanning to the interiors of their already stunning cabinetry. Even better, drawer dividers are easily reconfigurable for continued flexibility. Packages begin at $1,500.
ILBAGNOALESSI Basins for the US by Laufen
Conceived by Italian designer Stefano Giovannoni in 2002, the ILBAGNOALESSI One Series from Swiss brand Laufen has become a design staple for elegant, fashion forward bathrooms the world over. With the demand by the United States market for more European styled luxury bathroom products, Laufen is expanding the popular series into the US market, bringing the designer inspired vanity, offered in additional sizes with left and right facing installations, to our shores. According to Javier Korneluk, US Managing Director "[Laufen] looks forward to continuing to offer our customers new products that...quite literally, 'break the mold' when it comes to innovative design." The expanded offering will be available in white and finished with Laufen Clean Coat.
The Biltmore Console from Rose Tarlow Melrose House
A refined translation of the traditional Parisian farm table, The Biltmore Console from Rose Tarlow Melrose House is easily a spectacle not because of the exquisite grain patterns of its walnut construction or because of the newly introduced Dover Grey finish but because of its sheer size. Measuring a full 15 feet in length, the hand planed and antiqued console is meant for a space requiring a sense of grandeur yet casual elegance. Also available in 10 foot and 5 foot lengths.
Solid Copper & Brass Hanging Planter by Ashira Israel for Kaufmann Mercantile
I've long been a fan of anything that online design stockist Kaufmann Mercantile posts in their every growing digital catalog. Perfect for the California bungalow lifestyle, their newly introduced Solid Copper and Solid Brass Hanging Planters, designed by artist Ashira Israel (not to be confused with Asher Israelow), are just another "must have" in my expanding Luxury wish list. The raw, uncoated planters were inspired by himmeli, a Finnish tradition of handcrafting hanging mobiles made of straw for the Christmas season meant to usher in the holiday spirit. In this particular case, the planters are meant to created a festive moode at any time of year. Ashira and her team form each planter in their Brooklyn studio by hand from sheets of metal turned slowly on a lathe until a dome forms. Each planter is 8 inches diameter by 4 inches high and retails for $150.00.
Geode Collection by Andy Fleishman for Ann Sacks
The tactile qualities of wallcoverings have become all the more important as interior decor focuses on fulfilling the needs of all five senses. Geode, a new collection of tile designed by Andy Fleishman for Ann Sacks, marries smooth surfaces with rough hewn finishes, mimicking the naturally created designs of the geode and providing a finish which is at one playfully tactile while visually stimulating. The Geode Collection features five patterns - Circles, Couplet, Gemstone, Spoke and Swirl - in eight muted yet exciting colorways. Field sizes start at $19.00 per square foot.
